Marion Bartoli

Marion Bartoli Biorgaphy
The Frenchwoman has three loves: Two-handed strokes (which she uses for forehands and backhands), chocolate and Pierce Brosnan. Despite a fine junior career, Marion Bartoli wasn’t picked for success because she isn’t as quick or agile as other top pros. She proved her doubters wrong in 2007, when she upset Justine Henin and reached the Wimbledon final. It remains Bartoli’s best performance at a major tournament. Modeling her two-handed strokes on Monica Seles' double-handed attack, Bartoli is known for her explosive return, fast, flat shots and unconventional training techniques designed by her father and coach, Dr. Walter Bartoli. She won two of her seven career titles in 2011 (Eastbourne and Osaka) and reached the '11 Roland Garros semifinals.  An intelligent woman who likes to spend her spare time painting, Bartoli says her IQ has been measured at 175. She has reached a career-high rank of No. 9.
